A Heartwarming Success: Partner Visa Granted for Brazilian Client and Her Two Children in Australia

published on 17 October 2025

We’re thrilled to share another success story from the Rocket & Ash Immigration Law team — the grant of a Subclass 820 Partner Visa for our Brazilian client and her two beautiful children, right here in Australia!

From Application to Grant — A Smooth Journey

Our client’s journey began when we lodged her onshore Partner Visa (Subclass 820) application on 11 March 2024. Just over 19 months later, on 15 October 2025, she received the life-changing news that her visa had been granted — allowing her and her children to continue building their lives in Australia with stability and peace of mind.

This outcome is a testament to the importance of a thorough, well-prepared application. While Partner Visa processing times can vary, clear evidence, strong documentation, and strategic preparation can make all the difference.

Family Reunited and Ready for a New Chapter

The grant of this visa means our client can now remain permanently with her Australian partner while her children settle into their new home, community, and schools. For this family, it marks the end of uncertainty and the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunity, belonging, and security.

At Rocket & Ash, we take immense pride in helping families stay together and in navigating the emotional and procedural complexities of the Partner Visa process with care, clarity, and professionalism.

What Comes Next — The Subclass 801 Permanent Partner Visa

Now that our client and her children hold the temporary Subclass 820 Partner Visa, the next exciting step will be the Subclass 801 Permanent Partner Visa. They’ll become eligible to apply for permanent residency on 11 March 2026, exactly two years from the date their initial 820 application was lodged.

The Subclass 801 visa is the second stage of the Partner Visa process and grants permanent residency in Australia — providing long-term security, access to Medicare, and a clear pathway to citizenship in the future. Our team will be there to support them every step of the way to ensure a seamless transition.
